Background
-
Post-match flow is one of important points in the core loop where players review results and decide whether to start another match. It must provide enough information for players to continue without returning to the main menu.
-
As a feature every player engages with, improvements have the potential to boost retention KPIs (D1, D7, D14, D30) across the board.
Challenge

-
Players’ post-match routines center on quickly checking key information (e.g., claimable items from completed missions, operator progression) and jumping straight into the next match.
-
Diary study findings showed that many players loop directly from Fireteam Lobby → Gameplay → Post-Match without visiting the main menu. However, the existing post-match sequence was too long and unskippable, creating frustration.
Feature Highlights
Added Skip and Play Again buttons on every screen
to enable fast restarts, following consistent interaction patterns for video skips and screen transitions while keeping functions distinct.
Tab allows players to move freely
between sections at any time
Simplified user flow by grouping related screens and information
reducing the total number of screens players need to process.Benchmarked leading Mobile FPS titles’ post-match flows to validate tab hierarchy and reduce interaction friction
Designed a scalable structure using vertical scroll
to accommodate future content or game design updates without overhauling the layout.
